About the event

Topic: Practical Solutions for Home Waste Management

Join us for an insightful and hands-on community garden talk focused on simple, effective ways to manage home waste. Discover how you can easily repurpose everyday materials like grass clippings and dry leaves to create a backyard compost station, and learn about the benefits of worm castings using kitchen scraps on a tiny scale. We’ll also demonstrate how to transform vegetable scraps into flavorful soup powder, reducing waste while enhancing your cooking.

This event is packed with practical tips you can start applying immediately at home. We are excited to welcome students from Syracuse University's School of Architecture and the Surfside community as we share these sustainable practices.
